All middle and high schools in Lenoir County Public Schools are implementing AVID: Advancement Via Individual Determination a fabulous program which incoorporates project based learning, inquiry, reading and writing skills for the 21st Century Learner. As we “Cultivate Excellence” in our county this year we hope you will join us as we celebrate our students through this blog.

The LCPS AVID program is doing a great job thus far. Keep up the good job coordinators. Perseverance and patience is the key. As long as we continue to work together the program will succeed. Together everyone achieves more in cultivating the seeds of excellence. -Hilary
Comment by Hilary Greene November 20, 2007 @ 3:36 pmAVID is an awesome program that boosts the self-confidence of the oftentimes “forgotten” students. I have seen the program working successfully already this year with only 3 out of 24 students going below a “C”. WOW. Go AVID HAWKS.
